Keep seeing these "national news stories" about plane engines catching fire, emergency landings, doors falling off. But the one thing I don't see? Videos of this shit actually happening.

if a plane engine caught fire, there would be 100s of videos of people losing their minds in the cabin as they observe the burning engine, hole in a door, etc.

Kind of strange that we do not see these videos.

Inb4 "here is one random video". If these events were happening at the rate the news is proporting, there would be hundreds or thousands of videos of it by now.

Does it make more sense that all vloggers and phone addicts would turn OFF their video recording as soon as something goes wrong?

Good point, but i genuinely don't see many vloggers around where i live out in the wild.

when on a plane, everyone is holding their phone or interacting with it the entire time, or they are sleeping.
