Step up and take the labor on your own. Don't brag about it just do it . I tried that. I was a custodian and went into a department and started wiping down stuff when I had some time. I was told to stop by a manager because it was the sales peoples jobs even though they use minimal staffing so they barely have enough time to stock, helping out and cleaning was something they didn't want me to do even though I was a custodian/maintenance.
