That's not something I really bothered spending time pondering. I usually check them out before I bother to engage. If they don't look attractive to me, then I don't really care about whatever comes out of their mouth.

I find accents to be a detriment honestly, with thick southern being absolutely unbearably bad. No accent is best accent. "But everybody has an accent!" But certain areas have very universally well understood and clear "accents" that are just about as close to unaccented as possible
