Yes, Science based but she really doesn't know what she wants to do.
Then she has absolutely no business going to college.
Let me explain this in crayon: any random McJob will earn her $15/hr. Call it $30k a year of wages. College will cost her $30k. That's an opportunity cost of $60k a year (spending $30k instead of earning $30k). If she has her heart set on becoming a nurse or a chemical engineer, then college is reasonable. ABSOLUTELY do not spend $60k a year on "she doesn't know". That's fucktarded.
Lots of hospitals will pay nursing student tuition in return for a year or two of working at the affiliated hospital. If it's a tertiary center where lots of experience in icu, trauma, and o.r can be gained, it's worth it.
Yep, nursing if a good field if you know you want it. OP's problem is that the daughter doesn't know what she wants.
Tell her to go into nursing for "first assist" operating room nurse or even better, physician's assistant. She'll make six figures right out of school.
