I've heard that having a consistent bedtime is beneficial. I think it makes sense that your body's hormonal cycle, while capable of adapting to change, might optimize itself under predictable circumstances.

That being said, I'm terrible about going to bed at a specific time. Thoughts?

As you get older, it is less about time management and more about energy management. A big part of that is ssleeping and waking up at the same times every day. Mess up that schedule and your energy is shit for the day.
