I have heard that cutting out all plant matter and dairy, which includes butter, milk, pepper, and hot sauce, is the version of the diet that offers the most benefit. I don't know if this, purist, version of the diet could be worth it; I really like hot sauce, pepper, and cheese. I think I might try to go that far for a month, just to see if it is actually better. I will let you know if I get that far.
But I don't think milk is fair game in any version of the diet. Milk has a surprisingly large amount of carbs and sugars, all in lactose. Cream is pretty bad too. Eggs are always recommended, and people disagree on cheese and butter.
The hardest of the hardcore recommend eliminating plant based spice, which is everything except salt. I can imagine eliminating pepper from your diet does that much, but who knows. I will let you know if I get this far.
Just watched a video from the Dr dude that created the Carnivore diet and he says milk is okay! But he says that you can't over do it or you'll get fat. He drinks milk, but not a lot.
Who are you going to listen to? Some guy who claims to be a doctor on the internet? Or me, some guy who claims to be a poet on the internet?
Damn it, that's a pretty good argument.
Right on, I look forward to your thoughts. I'm off to read up on milk now... Maybe raw milk....
If milk raw milk is the only one.
