Interesting. It's just such bullshit that teachers turn on movies then quiz us about it and don't answer any questions pertaining to events that really happened. Not just lazy teaching, detrimental. I had this same experience with the holocaust movies like Schindler's list. Teachers would have a disclaimer at the beginning of the movie always saying " based on real events with some imagination" greying the lines of reality.
I wasn't sure if the fungus thing was real, sounded pretty reasonable but I can never be sure of anything anymore.
