For the same reason they sell stuff at $1.99 instead of $2.00.
haha. here in the middle of nowhere taxes are included in the advertised price.
Beers at the bar for 3 dollars? You owe 3 dollars. Cage free eggs at the eggstand? 4 bucks a dozen. Taxes are ALWAYS included.
Try not shopping at walmart for a change? I don't know what else to suggest.
Nothing but love, good luck.
You're asking for price transparency. We don't have that anywhere. We like being fooled. People don't want to know what things really cost. EVs are a perfect example. The true cost is deeply hidden with government subsidies because if consumers knew the real cost, they wouldn't buy them. People are impulsive and once they decide they want something, they'll rationalize the purchase. Buy now, pay later is another good example. Buy it now with no money upfront. Make payments later and the cost is double what it should be.
This idea of hiding the cost of things is everywhere. The vaccines are just a different way to hide the true cost of something. The government gives "free" vaccines. Of course, the real price is hidden deep where people cannot see the true cost. First, (((big pharma))) charges a fortune to the government which taxpayers actually pay for. Then there is the hidden cost of injury and death, which they desperately try to hide.
Airlines go to great lengths to hide the real cost of flying in order to entice you to fly with all their extra fees. Restaurants now have many hidden fees like reservation fees, minimum bills, kitchen appreciation fees, "health care" fees, etc. The list goes on and on.
They would lose business to stores who didn’t. Once I used to live in a city where the top restaurant decided to voluntarily do away with tipping and just build the gratuity into their menu prices and pay their staff what they would’ve made with tips. Cool idea, but didn’t work. After 6 months they went back to the old way citing a huge loss of business. Sticker price matters. Hidden costs just aren’t real to most people even if they’re known.
That would be anti-Semitic
Why not do the same for salaries too
That'll never happen, if people looked at their pay stubs, taxes would be a ton less. And if we cashed our check and then went to the next window to pay the taxes, there wouldn't be any.
I figure at least here in CA it's because there's different tax rates for different counties, so instead of printing out labels for every store in different counties, they can just make one.
What I hate more than that are stores that don't display prices on anything and make you guess.
You are lucky to get a price at all. Some places make you ask the churro at the counter the price for every single item. Kikes don't make things easy for (((their))) slaves. Its not about the money. It's about demoralization and humiliation.
Write to your government rep. Australia has laws that all prices shown must inlcuded taxes. In grocery stores, unit prices must also be shown, so customers can easily compare (i.e. pack of 12 goods also has the price divided by 12; food goods have the price per kilogram)
I love it when adverts claim things cost just pennies. Could be millions of em but just pennies goy!
