I don't watch TV - I don't have a TV subscription either.
I don't watch Netflix.
I don't watch Sports.
I don't watch Movies. - 99% of the time - every once in a blue moon or maybe 2x a year.
I have a cheap phone to as well. $115 - cheap cell phone. Don't really use it that often either as well. Only a distraction to as well. I try to find activities / hobbies I can do.
Save money and time this way.
I don't have a television in my living room upstairs either. I set up a personal work place around DIY type stuff with a desk out there and I have a couch / table to as well. If my mind gets over worked I can just lay down on the couch out there.
I chucked the talmudvision out years ago, can't believe i ever had one of those goddamn things.
Cheap plan does more than a cheap phone. I'm paying $10 a month. There is no reason to pay more than that.

US mobile. Their customer service used to be great but I think they got bought. So the customer service is medium quality now.
The downside is that you pay for everything proportionally. (Like how all other goods are sold). That saves you big money but data is pretty easy to run out on. I just don't watch youtube over mobile and I save a good $40 a month compared to most people.
Yeah, markets, when they actually function they make people make reasonable choices with limited resources. But it's honestly not a living hell using some discretion about how resources are used. (Imagine someone being shocked that you don't use entire cow cascaras for shooting practice as part of your meat plan, and instead pay for actual burgers as you eat them. And they inquisitively ask you can live that way.)
I want to switch to Skype or look up something like that. I could pay $2-$5 a month myself for now at least.

I'm doing more entertainment projects to be posted / shared to poal right now which can be very stupid like untraceable ghost spoon technology, but I also have been doing some video game modding of my own for now at least to as well.
