Make a habit of doing something introspective every day.

Some ideas:

  • Meditate.
  • Paint or draw without music playing.
  • Go for a walk alone without any headphones.
  • Sit silently and think about the day ahead for a moment when you first wake up. Do this for at least 3 minutes.
  • Put your feet up and mentally walk through a memory. Remember details. Remember details about the details.
  • Do an online or offline or anything spiritual that requires no talking (and certainly no money).
  • Smoke a joint and don't consume any form of media for 1 hour.
  • Build something
  • Work out by yourself with no music or video.
  • Make a bonfire and cook some food by yourself.
  • Think about the life of the first person you see after reading this.
  • Look at the moon, stars and sky and remember you live in the universe.
  • Be mindful

Be that person for a year, and you'll be happier, more centered, healthier and wiser.
