A while ago I saw a post about an alternative treatment for weak eyesight with blue light or so. Thought I saved it but can't find it. Can anyone help me out?

the only thing I have ever read about 'curing' bad eyesight was an article and subsequent instructions on exercises to perform. The author/doctor made claims that the majority of eye issues are similar to what happens to the cranial structure from mouth breathing al the time, but with phones and PC screens. We fuck up our muscular tone with eye muscles which then cause the eyes to misshapen over time. Being pliable, they can be corrected with muscle exercises for the eye muscles that help reverse or completely undo the misshapen eyes, curing vision issues.

I'll see if I can find it again...

Eye exercises according to the method of Professor Vladimir Zhdanov

I'll definitely look into that, thanks

I had a buddy in grade school who had poor eyesight. He was having problems reading the chalkboard. The optometrist said that he didn't need glasses, and just had to strengthen his eyesight.

He was given "exercises" to do. - Look out of a window and focus on something far away. Then focus on the glass (the watermarks or dust on the glass). Then focus again on the thing in the distance. - Hold a pencil 6 or 8 inches directly in front of your face, focus on it for a few seconds. Then focus on the wall behind it. Repeat for a while. Then hold the pencil to the side, and do the same. - Read a page of a book with it held out at arm's length. Then read the next page with it close to your face.

Exercises like that. The guy never did get glasses.

And it makes even more sense nowadays, because we spend so much time with our eyes focused at one distance.

But as a side note - If you find that you can focus perfectly fine during the day, but can't focus properly or as easily at night, that can be caused by cheap LED lightbulbs. I don't know the science behind it, but it's caused by cheap LED bulbs. Supposedly it's not the color of the bulbs, instead it's the flicker or something.

curious to know the name or technique of the treatmen

Try pinhole glasses as well, worn 20 minutes daily seem to help me.

This really works. I got a pair and started using them a few days ago (30 minutes twice a day when I walk my dog). I can feel the muscles around my eyes feeling like they have had a workout, and more importantly, I can see more clearly at a distance (tell the time on a clock across the room). I might be using it too much to start, but we'll see.

Nice. Fascinating how the simple things often seem to be the most effective ones

Drink water.

Good advice, but not what I was looking for

Not exactly what you are looking for but there is evidence that a chemical in pineapple can get rid of 'floaters' in your eyes.

you mean by eating people pineapples? Or doing some alchemy extracting the good from the fruit?

There's some exercises you do where you rub your hands together to create heat, then put a hand over one closed eye for about half a minute, then focus on something far away, then something at arm's length.

Try

Sounds kind of dangerous, though

Starring directly into the sun? Could be. Let me know if it works for you though, I'm too scared to try it myself.

This is the quickest way to give yourself permanent eye damage. Do not do this.

Never said to do that either.

I thought I read that it was red light. No joke.

Might be true. All I member is it was about colors or waves.
