As someone said, they offer promotional rates then go up to the real rate. I forget what it is — still cheaper than other companies.
The other catch is their plans have a hard cap on data, whereas most other have “unlimited” data with the speed throttling at a certain point.
For example, straight talk you get fast data for like the first 3 gigs then it slows down. Meanwhile, mint mobile you get the 3 gigs that’s part of your plan and then no data transfer at all.. unless you buy a little more.
Tello is cheaper indefinitely, and has soft caps (with I believe $5 to add a gig, or just renew the month early).
