It's on my right pinky and it's a little oversized. I used to use cloth tape on it but that just felt ridiculous. Is there some sort of non-toxic resin that I could add to the finger side of the ring that could keep it in place without giving me hand cancer in 20 years?

Take it to a jeweler , it shouldnt take 5 minutes. Of course if you wear a ring you dont work for a living. heh

Well when I did work I wore another pinky ring and yeah I almost degloved myself once or twice. You think they could just add some metal to it to fit the finger? Heck I was thinking about just putting some pine sap on it but I don't know if that's bad for you over a long period of time.

No joke, jewelry store. Tell em your ring is too big. They will offer to resize it. Shouldn't be much trouble for them.

I dont really know, but I would assume they can just compress it for smaller or stretch it for bigger. Within reason of course.

I wonder what happens to the little amount of gold that they removed? I'm sure it's not significant but still.

You can stretch a few sizes up, you cut and resolder to go down or add to go up more than a few sizes

No, the will cut the band, take out however much is needed to make fit your finger, and solder it back together. And "solder" may be the wrong technical term, but definitely take it to a jeweler.

wear it on a chain around your neck
