It’s possible. My last phone was on its last legs and slowing down and out of memory, glitched once for a few seconds on the screen of a utilitarian looking phone record app. Basic play , stop, numbers dialed, time date etc… it’s not an app I installed. It showed all my recent calls as recorded. Neat. Thanks glowies.

Depends if you've installed some random apk. Could be done by a spyware.
