Is anyone here from alaska? What are the pros and cons of living in the great state? While i do not expect to find many Poalrs there, from a tax point of view, it looks tempting. what are your thoughts? Is is crawling with far left loonies or simple folk who want to be left alone?

As much as I would like to move there, I don't think I could handle the dark winters. Even the winters in the mountains of Tennessee have been a struggle for me because of how often we get overcast and rain.
