KMPlayer

Movist

SMPlayer

MPC-HC

Five minutes to down load I'll let you know how it goes in a tick.

Yes I have shit internet.

KMP and MPC seem to have to best HW acceleration for H.264/5 decoding.

Most recent GPU can easily decode 4K videos.

That KMP player is working pretty good and looks way better.

Cheers AOU.

I'll try some of your other suggestions latter.

Try Potplayer. Supposedly the latest VLC has 4k ability. Vidmore is $60.

Could it be an issue with your hardware being too weak to decode the files in a timely manner?

I'm running a del laptop through 7.2 sony hd amp then into 4k tv, the laptop has 34ram if that means anything.

It runs sweet with that km player I downloaded before.

Only thing I could get to work well with H.265 HDR video (on a non-HDR system using Intel integrated graphics) was mpv on Windows (10). I couldn't find anything Linux. It ran great even on my old i7-4790K (no hardware H.265 decoding) for 24 FPS movies.
