Mouth breathing can purportedly have serious negative effects on your health.

Away from or towards the glory hole?

Is the glory hole in the room with you now or are you in the glory hole stall of the glory hole room?

Depends on whether it's your mother or father on the other side. I've only heard good things bout your old man.

I think mouth breathing definitely has utility when our bodies need elevated levels of oxygen (such as during rigorous physical activity). However, breathing out of line with your metabolic needs seems to have a detrimental effect (i.e. mouth breathing at rest).

Apart from the increased oxygen, the nose also filters and humidifies air as it passes to the lungs.

I'm by no means an expert on this topic. So if you know anything to the contrary, please do share.

More importantly (I think) inhaling through your nose has very beneficial effects. It impacts nitric acid which has cascading health benefits. Mouth breathing negatively impacts biota in your mouth among other things. If it makes you look like a smooth brain room temperature IQ, it can't be good. God doesn't work that way. Healthy looks healthy.

Only if I eat something really spicy and wind up looking like a retarded dragon.

It depends on the pollen count and how resistant I've become to antihistamines.

I get pretty stuffed up when ragweed is prevalent, but for the most part I try to always breath through my nose. I don't typically go for medication unless I can't sleep.

Wow, he's not a crack-pot, actually reasonable. Good info. I know I mouth-breathe (or at least have it open) on days I'm worn out and fed up with everything.

His book Breath was a good one. I listened to it on audio and he does the narration himself. He's a good story teller. I'm on to another of his books now called Deep. It's about free diving.
