Yeah, phones pretty much can use any USB peripheral. If the power draw is too much you can just hook up a powered USB hub to the phone.
Good to know. More importantly I'm trying to figure out what phone to go with. Pixel 6 pro looks like it's affordable at this point. I would like to find it in 256. And if that's no good I might just bow down and get the latest version of the g power I don't know I used to have a Samsung years ago but those things I kind of clunky shit although they take fantastic pictures.
If I were getting a new phone and spending a fair bit, I'd be sure it had an unlocked bootloader and some good custom ROMs out there. Pixel 6 pro seems to from some quick searches. I was looking at the PIxel phones due to Google's GCam and the custom DSP they have (I've used hacked GCam ports to the LG V20 and Moto G Power 2020 and they make a noticeable improvement in picture quality over stock camera app, so I assume they look great on the PIxel phones).
The reviews I read about Google phones was that while they might not have the heavy pixel count they have heavy processing which makes a huge difference. I just think it's crazy that they charge so much for these damn phones. I can get a six pro on Amazon refurb 128 gig for like 280 bucks. That's not so bad. I wonder if for the 256 if it's in the mid 3's, I'd imagine so.
