I was thinking about upgrading my phone because its crappy and old and blah blah. But a lot of the newer phones don't have storage on board. My thought would be to buy a USB-c external microSD card and reader for a new phone. Yay or nay on this being a good idea. I'm not always around fast enough data to upload to the cloud efficiently.

Popping in a 512GB then dumping at home not a viable option?

No I live in a camper van. And currently I'm 2300 mi away from home base.

I hear ya. I used to leave an android with a 512GB in it at the gym in a locker and download files and torrents off their Wi-Fi then dump files onto my big hard drives back when I had nearly non-existent internet at home.

I’m guessing this is not what you need.

No I barely watch TV anymore or videos or anything. It's mostly just for pictures and videos I make. Sometimes I'll download music off of YouTube for when I sleep. I know that's kind of counterintuitive.

That's so awesome. We got the letter of warning recently for downloading torrents so I'm looking for alternatives.
