I'm aware matrilineal descent matters to Conservative and Orthodox Jews, but why do people in our circles care? Israel's right of return goes by grandparents and most Jews in the Western media, entertainment, academia,and white-collar work are secular. I've never seen anyone less worried if there was a Jewish father and European mother, so why bring it up at all? It's not magic, it's just the best an ancient people lacking paternity tests could do.

I have a fun theory that jew females have a special type of gut bacteria with a parasite in it, and that's why it's so important one must be directly birthed from a jew female to be considered a jew. Also, maybe jew females are such whore that theres no way to know who the father is.

Anyways those are my shower thoughts on the subject

Not to brag or anything, but I was homeschooled off and on for the majority of my youthful life. My English teachers relished in reading my awesome stories
