The mother-son relationship isn’t vital beyond its biological necessity. Civilizations are built by men, and the father-son relationship is the mechanism whereby a man learns to be a man. Masculinity is not acquired from women. It can’t be. It can only be mimicked poorly or misunderstood. Men must imbue their sons with manhood. This is why our civilization teeters at the cusp of ruination.
