I watched a "professional" unload precast concrete assemblies from a crane truck. He took the chain hooks to the sides of the top boards of a palette the concrete shape was on. He went to lift and I interjected and asked "are you sure you can do that? I'm not sure that will hold the weight." He looked at me like I was crazy, not having signed the delivery papers, it was still on him so I stepped back extra. I watched the guy lift it just enough to get it a couple feet over before it snapped and rolled off the side of his flatbed into dirt. Honestly I was suprised it even lifted. I told him I guess you can't do that. Lucky it wasn't damaged. I helped him with the rest.
