Some years ago I did quite a bit of research in to what drives the whole 'alignment' scheme. Turns out, it's primarily driven by a sense of selfishness. The more "selfish" a person seems to be, the 'lower' their alignment. I don't agree with that. When answering a whole bunch of quizzes on alignment, it seemed to me that the more a person was interested in basic self-preservation, the worse their alignment. No. Under this scheme, I nearly always come up neutral or chaotic evil. But really I'm anything but that. Sadly, this told me a lot about who designed the alignment scheme, and left me understanding we need a completely new scale for this sort of thing. Remember that alignment chart done on race?
