well I have propane and electric, and wood but it would be a pain in the ass to hook up. But I have another option for short term.
Well, That is a whole hell of a lot better than most. If I was out in the country I would have propane too and if near water I would build a power-plant and even a solar array. Can't ever have enough "backup's" if you can afford it.
Wood is kind of a PITA in some ways because you need space to store it dry and it needs to be seasoned to not gum up your pipes. Even then. A tiny rocket-stove can heat a lot just with the dry junk you can pick up around the property if things are rough. Sometimes that is what it takes.
Never had to do something like that and I don't have a rocket stove atm but its not a bad idea. Per one of my posts earlier today.. I need to learn how to weld x.x
yeah, I cant believe I never learned to weld, I can do most else. Of course here clothes will get ya by.
Hah, yeah. I should have learned a decade ago.
I've always figured that the primary skills anyone should have are Wood working, Welding and basic engineering. With that, you could probably figure out about damn near anything and build it yourself if you have the tools.. Or if you don't if you know the others, you may be able to make the tools.
If it makes you feel better. I can stich and sew, design and build circuits, fix cars/trucks/etc.. but still don't have experience in welding.
