Standard poodles were a force to reconned with and were bred to hunt game and keep up with a hunting party for nobility I think. Cool dogs, bad rep because people think they are froo froo hoity toity dogs when they really want to be worked as much as any other working breed. I'm not sure if they have the same temper as a toy poodle
