I would advise against Carhartt and Duluth because of their Covid policies. I try not to give money to people that treat unvaccinated people like crap. Of course, there are a million businesses where I just can't know, but I at least try to whittle it down.
I got disgusted with the the quality and longevity of jeans (levis, wranglers, some other brands). However I've been impressed with (100% cotton, not "stretch" jeans). They fit well and have lasted over two years now on the farm, and are still going strong.
I've wasted dozens of jeans blowing out the right knee. Save your blown out jeans, cut patch material from the worst to make patches for the rest. A bottle of waterproof flexible cloth glue is about $10 on Amazon.
Have a look at the local gold will store and stores like it. It's where I prefer to get all my "these can be ruined" work clothes. Don't see the point in spending big cash on new clothes
I gave up a long time go trying to find decent jeans. I just buy the Kirkland brand now, they don’t last very long but they are only about $14/pair and they hold up better than other cheap brands.
Note to self: This is good information.
Ariat. Hands down the best constructed (and fitting) jeans on easily accessible market. If you wanna go bespoke, Jocko's Origin jeans are also legit. Wranglers went to absolute paper mache shit when they flew south to let the frijoles start makin' em.
If you pick up a pair of standard issue police pants used by security guards and police officers, those pants will last you at least a decade without tearing. These are pants that will resist spilled coffee will roll right off and are resistant to donut grease as well.
Google for a store that sells uniform outfits at your nearest town and you'll be good to go.
There’s a police supply store near our location, I’ve just never gone in there, thanks for the tip!
If you have $300 to waste, buy selvedge jeans
Duluth
their lifetime exchange is awesome. That's the only reason because I'll put a hole in my jeans in a week
