Last week I made a post about an idea I wanted to patent. Yesterday and today I am contacted by two new clients who have had the exact same idea and want my help producing a proof of concept. One of them talked about patenting it. I'm going to find out when they had this idea, but if I had to guess, it was probably sometime last week...

Just seems too coincidental. What does it mean?

No, he was touring plantations to see how to improve the whole system and saw some slaves using a rudimentary version, he improved it and patented it, and was sued by the plantation owner.

You believe niggers invented the cotton gin and some dumb redneck stole their idea?

No, they had a rudimentary thing and the much more intelligent white man, Eli, saw it and improved it to an actual working thing for mass production. Do you deny he was sued by the plantation owner?

I don't deny he was sued. I deny that the lawsuit had any credibility.
