Last week I made a post about an idea I wanted to patent. Yesterday and today I am contacted by two new clients who have had the exact same idea and want my help producing a proof of concept. One of them talked about patenting it. I'm going to find out when they had this idea, but if I had to guess, it was probably sometime last week...

Just seems too coincidental. What does it mean?

Yeah, it is probably even more common than you think. The examples I was thinking about where back before the age of the internet or phones. People would have to write messages and it would take weeks for them to arrive.

Now that we live in a very different world I assume this is sort of like the birthday paradox. If you have a particular skill and are thinking about things to do with it you might invent something. Others seeking someone for an idea would search for someone with the skill to do so.. its not as strange as it seems. Especially now that communication world-wide is instant in a lot of cases.
