I used to cook with aluminum all the time. Putting it under fish, chicken, and meat baking it in the oven or doing hobo dinners in the fire but then I heard that it causes memory loss. That it could be a path for dementia so I haven't done it since a couple years ago. Is this just propaganda or the real deal?

Most of my meals as a child and adolescent were prepared in aluminum cookware. I still have a few of my mother's aluminum pots and pans, although I don't use them. I don't think I exhibit any ill effects.

My mom used to scrape off the teflon from using metal spatulas all the time. But that's a different topic. We always used aluminum when cooking. She fell to dementia 10 years and now my father's slipping too. I'm sure it's more than just metals in the the brain.
