Arness never studied his lines, he just read the scripts once and never messed up his dialogue. This used to irritate the other actors that poured over their scripts for hours and still occasionally screwed up their lines, especially when Arness would correct them real time. Lol! Arness knew his lines and everyone elses in one read.

Had a climbing partner that lived a few doors down from her in Phoenix. Saw her once get’n out of her car, but didn’t get a good look at her. It’s rumored she died of the hi five (hiv). Glenn Campbell lived down the street. Lol, I remember when he got a dui, it was big news. He was quite disheveled in his booking photo. Damn I’m get’n old, that was a long time ago.

We all are and I have to laugh when the younger folks here shit on boomers, quicker than they realize they will wake up one day and be our age - and be thankful they made it this far. There's not a damned thing they can do to stop it.

Thought you might be interested in , my understanding is Jan Shepard (Amanda's roommate) got an audition for the Miss Kitty character and convinced Amanda to interview too, and Amanda got the part.

Well, it was on for twenty years, so I'm sure she aged, but from pictures I've seen, she did it well.
