Here in AZ we had an attempted shooting at an Amazon warehouse. Stopped by another employee 'illegally' carrying in the workplace. The news dropped it so I don't know what happened to the guy.
Out here I know most people carry in places they shouldn't. It's just safer that way and if you aren't stupid about it, you won't get caught. It was the same in VT.

You can't carry in bars, but you can conceal carry on private property if they don't check for weapons and no one knows. You might get fired or trespassed if someone finds out, but it's not like you go to jail.
