Not talking "oh I never buy [processed food #122]" for example. Something that even Poalrs would buy

Fuck, me too. Meat is almost 9 dollars a pound around were I'm living. Eggs are 3 bucks a dozen. I'll buy cheese and some fruit.

When the world shuts down you're gonna realize what a bargain $3 a dozen egges were.

[–] 4 pts

Nope. Because I'm resourcing now and I'm meeting farmers and butchers now. I have tradeable skills and shit so I'll be fine.

Berries are out of control expensive and the discount ones look okay sometimes but are usually not ripe or on the verge of rotting.

Coffee. Can't stand that stuff.

It's extremely bitter tasting to me and bitter flavors are usually warnings not to consume it because it's toxic. I think most coffee drinkers are non-tasters or low taste bud count people and don't really get the full blast of the bitterness so they don't understand why it's so horrible to me.

Most coffee drinkers today load it up with sugar.

There’s nothing better than a good up of coffee try a French press with fresh grounds I think it’s the overly hot water that makes it bitter. I can taste bitter in coffee when nobody else seams to be able to

Milk - we get ours right off the tit, or teet, as it were

Eggs - we try to buy eggs from the same herd-share when possible. If we have to get eggs from the grocery we only stay with a very particular brand that we have researched.

During summer we grow majority of produce we eat.

Fresh produce from the grocery store.

Most if it has "food grade wax" on it.

Bleh

Apeel. It's a toxic Gates product.

[–] 2 pts

It was my understanding that this would be labeled. I keep looking for it on all my produce. No matter, I only buy organic (yeah yeah, I know), and even at that, I soak everything in a water and baking soda solution before use. The apeel stuff though…… fuck

anything with soy, anything with vegetable oil (usually has soy oil)

If possible find a farmer that raises beef or pork and see if you can get a 1/2 or whole while investing in a deep freezer, cheaper than a store for steaks and ground beef

Eggs, I keep chickens.

Milk, bread, potatoes, rice, other starches, sugar of any kind.

Fuck you!

I only buy paper products, garbage bags and gas, the rest comes right out of my yard and I trade with other local farmers.

[–] 0 pt

What, you can't make paper from grass clippings? Fucking capitalist.

[–] 0 pt

I really don't have that kind of time anymore. Farming is very hard work.

My 'I don't buy that' stuff: oil and vinegar salad dressing. I mix my own from olive oil and fancy vinegar and add spices. chicken hot dogs. I take my processed and reshaped chicken in the shape of nuggets box cereal.

[–] 1 pt

Milk. I can never use a half gallon before it goes bad so I just don't bother
