Yeah, I heard, and still hear stories where a whole family caught covid (whatever that means), and someone who is otherwise healthy goes to the hospital because they are a little out of breath. Then they end up on remdesivir and a respirator, and dead in a week.
Meanwhile there's grandma or grandpa that's been in declining health for years, can barely move on their own, and everyone assumes they are going to die from covid. So they stay at home, give them some cold meds and let them sleep. Then after a couple rough days, they dont die, but get better. And it's a miracle!
And so few people make the connection because they trust doctors and hospitals more than any other professional. And it's totally unwarranted.
