He's smart and articulate but he's a murder suspect and therefore won't be a President of the US. Americans want their leaders to have impeccable reputations. He's a libertarian, not the worst ideology to believe in. I have nothing else to say.
I agree with smart and articulate, but as far as a murder suspect, I thought that was adjudicated (in another country) and went away, which, doesn’t mean guilty or not, but does mean no longer a suspect. Could be wrong, though.
I stand corrected. The first time I've learned about this guy was 2016 US elections, which I paid attention to because I live in a dictatorship (Russia) and my country's elections are boring. He was my favorite potential candidate (with Trump being my favorite candidate, who I was extremely glad won, because candidate Trump was a lot better than politician Trump - ), I also liked Jill Stein. But hearing McAffey giving interviews was like readong Thomas Jefferson's letters, by which I mean it doesn't get more articulate than that.
He (when he was no longer a possible candidate) never said he believes in Russian supposed election interference. But when he was still a possible candidate, he was publishing articles / giving interviews about cyber threats. Saying that North Korea, Russia, China and/or Iran may hack and destroy American electrical grid. I thought that it's fascinating because (no offence but) America is a rabid dog and needs to be shot, and North Korea, for example, doesn't have nukes in order to do it.
Or like some other guy said, "In a world of satellites, lasers, computers, briefcase weapons, precision targeting, and a choice of viruses with which to attack people or computers, nations as we now know them may well find themselves up against potent adversaries, some no more than a millionth their size."
It was the first time I've encountered that thought, and McAfee articulated it better than anyone could.
