Digg did a dugg and died. Reddit took over. Power Trippers and jews showed up en masse to make the site woke. Reddit removed the ability to use outside applications.

It's all downhill from there. Just a matter of how long it takes. They're still trying to figure out how to monetize stuff someone else makes.

It was dead long before the app purge. They were using chat bots for comments and inflating vote counts for years before that.

Yes, it was. The API restrictions was just another spike in the dead body.
