Some of the videos I believe. Not the totally staged ones but I think they did fly in there and fight IDF. I have not really heard Hamas say they did not do it so assume it is not totallt staged. But like sixgorillion I think Israel is taking the event and making it more than it was to justify forming a government, taking more land and commiting war crimes.
Yep, the videos are a lot more believable than what's coming out of Ukraine. Which is almost nothing after a year and half.
And regardless of what actually happened, Hamas openly talks about killing people and celebrate terror attacks. Israel would have been justified invaded Gaza to destroy Hamas years ago.
I think the real story is that Israel doesn't have the manpower to root out Hamas in a ground offensive. Sure they can lob missiles all day, but Hamas will be still be in their tunnels, or hiding among civilians. Only a tedious campaign of urban warfare, fighting block by block, will do it. But the IDF doesn't have the experience, or the manpower to fight an urban war for months on end.
