It wasn't until about 25 that my parents let a few curses slip into the conversation here amd there, and I still feel awkward swearing at all when talking to them. Only took one time with the soap, I think I was about 10 years old. Dad was at work, Momma knew she couldn't spank me hard enough anymore so she called in a long time threat. 30 odd yrs later I'm hearing schoolkids say the most outrageous shit in public and I know Momma was right. Swear amongst your friends if you want, but keep it civil and clean with the family, coworkers and the public. It's a sign of respect, and what niggers call code-switching.
