Val'et (or -ā) Noun Val'et Adj.

-Websters's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary Cir 81-84

According to Webster the adjective form is pronounced with the T, but the noun could be either; If spoken in English. If speaking in French it looks like it's the without the t. But you can't argue we say it the french way unless you pronounce it Vah Lay not Val Lay

This is why it is important to have physical dictionaries.
