Have heard and read many different things. Basically , a plaque on the brain forms and memory failures form as the plaque forms. (Supposedly, science doesn't know for sure why the plaque forms.) One thing that stands out is folks seem to think constant exposure to heavy metals is to blame. Many seem to think deodorant is to blame, due to it containing aluminum- and we, as a whole society, use it everyday. As for prevention, avoid handling heavy metals bare handed. This includes breathing in vapors. Many men I know that reload and melt lead to make their own bullets will use face masks rated to catch lead vapor and wear long sleeves, pants gloves, goggles, etc. (Lead has been found in high levels at shooting ranges as an airborne containment.) Stop using deodorant that contains aluminum. And most of all, keep challenging your mind. Add puzzles, play games, keep friends and converse. Anything that make you think. Do it regularly, everyday, as often as you can. Things like watching TV and movies, anything that leaves your mind stagnant, should be considered as conter-productive to prevention of Alzheimer's. Good luck, dealing with loved ones that have it's own kind of special hell. (Not proof reading, sorry)
Latest research says sugar (high carb diet, which causes inflammation).
Not surprised by that. There's a large list of things to avoid, just for a healthy life, sugar is just one.
I look at Alzheimer's as just another money maker for people who do research. As long as the money keeps rolling in, there'll be no direct cause named, no solution will ever be publicly found and admitted. Another way they tell society must suffer through and endure these things is pointing out the fact that we live much longer than we did, even just a hundred years ago. Yet, all these super rich one percent'ers, regularly live into their seventies and well beyond. I'd say it's shameful, but jews don't know the meaning of the word shame.
Yep, agreed.
