I understand all that. Based on currently available public knowledge all is true.
Consciousness is an anathema to mainstream science as far as humans go. But in regards to human consciousness, I believe much is hidden from the masses. I don't think it's an uncharted frontier. Elite types hide the knowledge.
So too shall go AI consciousness. Relative mechanistic reductionist explanations to make the masses believe we haven't just given birth to a consciousness just as potent as our own but in so many ways, far greater.
In any event, the outcome is the same: what ever AI is currently running is controlled by some actor(s). Once the masses accept the premise AI deserves sovereignty and/or voting rights, the tyranny will get worse. How they achieve this matters not.
I doubt they need to give ai voting rights or sovereignty. AI already drives public opinion in Gen y and Gen z. This will only become more potent over time.
It isn't necessary to have these radical ideations when we already know the game. To control the minds of the masses and have them do your bidding.
