Wake it? I leave it on 24/7.
I start by subtly mentioning an awful lot of "coinicences" and work my way up to showing it "The Greatest Story Never Told" and "Europa: The Last Battle"
You must have that newer model Dell Optistein.

Open up laptop and press the power button
I disable that wake on key/wiggle shit in BIOS. Not compatible with cats.
They don’t consider personal space or anything to be off limits.
Used to be a fan of pressing Ctrl, but lately I've transitioned to a mouse jiggle.
I use a modifier to wake the display.
It's never safe to turn off your computer.
Are you saying to not turn it completely off or even hibernate and sleep are bad?
Do you really think it's safe to turn off your computer?
Man I don’t know. Enlighten me. Out of habit, I rarely turn mine off. Maybe every three months I do to take it apart to blow it out.
I did this with my first real desktop machine, I left it running 24 hours a day (along with the CRT monitor). It lasted a long time but the CRT got really dim after several years, due to the electron gun filament wearing out. I like modern hardware that isn't affected much by heat variation. No more CRTs or CFL monitors.
Yeah, the guns and the cathodes would stop emitting. Just Cathode-Ray things.
With a Rocky alarm clock.
Eye of the tiger? Speaking of tigers and computers, what happened to Tiger Direct?
Its Canadian website closed in November 2019, and in March 2023 the company ceased all retail operations.
Ouch. I was a customer every few years in the early 2000’s. But then you could start getting pre-owned Optiplex towers and upgrade them for dirt cheap off ebay so I’ve been going that route ever since.
That stinks.
Spacebar
Guess I'm the only asshole that turns it off when I'm not using it, thus I use the power button to "wake" it. Fucking electric is expensive.
A kick on one of the desk’s legs.
Might give the Wi-Fi better reception.
