I understand your meaning. I was just adding to it that although they did the deed christ claimed that it is finished. Once I truly grasped this, I find myself fascinated about everything Christ.

I'm willing to bet orders were simply being followed, and they had no idea who they were really putting up there. Just some guy the jews hated to them, probably.
