Let's say some one owns a domain (definitely not me) and knows that it will be desirable to another party (definitely not the company I work for), but that person does not want the buying party to know their identity. Is there any service that facilitates such a transaction and doesn't fuck you on commission? I've looked into dan.com and afternic but from what I've read they both provide the seller's info to the buyer in the closing documents.

Did this theoretical person (definitely not you) purchase the website because they had insider information that their company would want it?

From what I hear from this person who is definitely not me, no. A manager sent out a LinkedIn blast a week before it was official. Any of his hundreds of connections would have known.
