I have. Last time I was getting insurance quotes, I called one that my employer happened to use for their business. I had been on their policy when travelling, so the insurer knew I worked there.

However, when I asked for the quote, I specifically said "Call my cell, here's the number." They ignored that instruction and called work instead and went through the BS of getting the call transferred to me.

I asked them why they didn't call my cell phone like I asked. No real answer, they just kind of ignored it and started in with asking about a quote. Stopped them and said that I couldn't count on them to follow the first instruction I gave them which was to call my cell only, not interested anymore.

They actually called again later in the week (work number) and started the spiel all over. Just hung up.

I've read that in the past. That's an absolutely beautiful way of guaranteeing your contract is at least being read.

I've used similar in my business dealings. If the contact immediately starts off with something I know to be untrue, that's the only chance they get and they lost it. They can't be bothered to make sure the initial detail is correct, I can't trust them.

It's a superb way to head off fuckery. If the vendor supplies brown M&Ms or asks "Do we really need to remove the brown ones?"...then you know they paid attention to everything else.

Sounds like a bunch of high maintenance bitches

They had nine semi trucks full of gear.

And they'd literally destroyed previous venues' stages with the weight of their equipment and power requirements...so they had a good reason to be insistent on details.
