I am a registered voter and received a letter in the mail to report for jury duty. However, it was mailed to a different address. It was actually sent to my father in laws house. I never lived there nor am I registered to vote with that address. Did I break the law by not reporting? Is this some sort of fraud? Shouldn't it have been mailed to the address where I am registered to vote at?

I think it depends on the state, for instance in Texas it use to work that way but not anymore. If you have a drivers license your available for it. I have blown it off with no penalty yet. Im around a small town and on jury day its a fuckfest, I cant imagine what its like in a bigger town.

I am not in Texas, but can anyone there get a drivers license? Like a non US citizen? I know in California they can. Makes me question the judicial jury. Someone found innocent or guilty before their peers? Interesting. Thank you for your comment, brother!
