I have my 3rd child due in a month. I wish I had known more about vaccines for the first 2 and not had them vaccinated but they are healthy so far. I am not vaccinating the 3rd. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on this in Texas.

I know the doctors are going to make it difficult and I may have to jump around until we find a pediatrician that will be okay with it. What I am really concerned with is school. I wish we could homeschool or do private school but it is not possible at the moment. Maybe that will change. It looks like I have to file for an affidavit of exemption and then send the school the affidavit of the exemption every two years. This seems really easy.

If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know.

We bounced through several pediatricians and finally found a General Family Practitioner who respected our no jabs position. You'll just need to search. And, yep. State of Texas vaccine exemption affidavits are valid for people who decline vaccines for reasons of conscience to include religious beliefs or just a "meh, no thanks." And do everything possible to get to a point where you're able to homeschool those kiddos. The difference in the education and social experience is palpable. Congrats!
