I understand you want to weed out accounts, but this is BS and your hoops will reduce users and create even more of an echo chamber than has already happened.

I'm an old Voat refuge who hasn't been very active. I don't have alot to share, but chime in occasionally and I'm not the Reddit type of moron who wants to voice my opinion just to hear it. These new hoops to jump through are F'ing stupid.

I can't comment without making an introduction. I do so (https://poal.co/s/Introductions/662116) and label it nsfw because of language. Then I still can't comment to tell someone what to kill their sumac weeds with because I haven't actively participated in my introductory discussion that I can't even see becuse it's nsfw.

If the 30 top users want their personal site then just get rid of our logins.

Edit: The question. Why?

Ok, you've got me, What's the best way to kill sumac weeds?

Right? I also have sumac weeds. I just keep on mowing them but they just keep coming back.

You might find crossbow cheaper under the name Garlon-4. It's the same stuff.

I was going to suggest Crossbow. It's a mixture of 2,4-d and triclopyr. It's nasty stuff, but it kills like nothing else and harms the roots. It can kill 4 inch saplings through thin bark, but doesn't do much to grass.

It helps if you can cut down anything big and brushcut smaller stuff, then wait a couple weeks for new growth apicals to form before spraying. Once you spray the swath of death, wait until new shoots or seedlings emerge and spray again. It might take a third application, but not much survives the first two.

Thanks for the tip!

Have you tried cutting it back and blocking light to the stump? It worked with some vines on my property.

That can work if you have small enough areas. Be careful of erosion once you defoliate.

Our extension office publishes this in nicer form with pictures. It should be required reading in high school. The USDA hired this guy to study why any area cultivated by humans turns to desert. Topsoil conservation is paramount to long term human survival.
