Why would humans have a developed sense of uneasiness when we see something that doesn't quite line up with human characteristics properly? Is it simply an evolutionary tool to keep humans within their own races or is there something else going on here? How would such a sense still keep going on after countless generations if there wasn't a need to detect these subtle differences? What do you think the purpose for the uncanny valley sense to keep existing in modern humans?

That is why, as an intelligent thinking creature, you are supposed to operate in a more cautious manner. Don't stick your finger into dark holes, examine your shoes before putting them on, is caution around log piles, etc.

Pretty much. Gotta keep your head on a swivel. Watch where you step. Keep your mind on the trail or neighborhood you are in. Practice your quick draw. Gun, knives and whatever else you are carrying. Snakes , spiders and stuff run from you unless you interfere with them by accidentally stepping on them or sitting on them or stuffing your body part into their hiding spot. Big animals and nefarious characters could either run or attack. Plan plan plan

Unless you live in costa rica for instance... Spiders over there don't exactly run from you, it's more like you wake up at night to take a piss after a bad dream where a fucking giant spider walked all over your face, you grab your underpants laying on your bag next to your bed and POOF giant spider jumps on your hand!

Yeah.... It wasn't just a dream...
