Yep you can always tell the ones that aren't really raising kids. Sure, they may sire and spend 20 minutes with them, but as a 24/7 job? No. I have and you need a break occasionally.
Isn't it just being lazy? Somehow parents managed this before TV. It's the easy way out.
Parents also whipped kids with switches and sent them to bed without dinner. Nothing wrong with a hand swat to the butt but no weapons like belts, etc. Just because we used horse and buggies before cars were invented shouldn't mean you have to use them now.
Lazy? You definitely don’t have kids. I haven’t had a full night sleep since before he was born. I’ve been on 100% of the time even when I’m sleeping. I don’t get any breaks. I cant even take shits by myself without my kid wanting to be near me. Maybe in the past people had extended family to help, but I don’t have any family close to come and give us any help. It’s me my husband and our toddler. I make most of his toys, I sew his clothes, I play with him, I cook all our food from scratch, I clean, organize, shop, and pay the bills and file our business and personal taxes. And I work part-time during his naps. You have no ideas how infuriating it is to hear someone call that lazy.
How many kids do you have?? Easy to Monday morning quarterback....But I have a dog, it's the same thing!!!
Anecdotes over principles.
