I try my best not to give my kid much screen time, but life is life and sometimes it is needed.

Here are some of our go-to's: Mister Rogers Neighborhood (the best and only one we can really do unsupervised) Vooks (animated books) Read-Aloud stories Hungarian Folk Tales Vintage Sesame Street (snuffy and big bird clips) Watching Trains & model trains Cowboy Jack (Texas dad who goes on field trips) Animal Documentary's for kids. Little Bear Franklin

Animations are insane and my kid completely zones out. But I can still interact with him when he watches the videos above.

Any other recommendations are welcome. iOS Apps are also welcome.

Mister Rodgers, 1970's era Sesame Street; Davey and Goliath; there was a puppet based show called Pinwheel from the early 1980's on nickleodeon.
Find any pre 2k's Golden books and read read read so your child develops imagination, learns on to focus and pay attention as well as the ability to read and learn faster than his/her peers. Reading to our children is priceless.

Thanks. I’ve been reading to him since he was an infant and he loves books. We’ve been extremely lucky and have found some great ones from the 50s, 60s and even older. We got them from those free little libraries. We probably have over 100 that I rotate every couple of months.
